Goal Statement for PE

こなんわ！
Here are my goals for PE:
いち：improve my pronunciation for double consonants
に：improve on my pitch in longer phrases
さん：improve my clarity and pronunciation

I will achieve this by:
いち：going to the language table
に：listening to and reading the dialogues in the book
さん：saying words out loud to myself on a regular basis
よん：saying phrases to my Japanese friends and asking them for pronunciation advice

Study more Hiragana!

I got my quiz back today and did well! I have to work on memorizing the hiragana words however. i was behind everyone in class and my reading comprehension is slow...

Yesterday we learned more about voiced consonants. I thought this would be easy, but it turned out to be a little harder than i thought. Japanese voiced consonants are more subtle than english ones. Glides were a little challenging too. I could not figure out where the form of ji comes from. i assumed it was a combination of shi or zi. Hopefully today or tomorrow i will try shadowing to see what that is like.

 This is my first blog post for JPN 101. Better late than never!
Arigato gozaimasu Sato Sensee for helping me figure out how to set it up!
Today i learned about shadowing in class. I have never done that before, but it sounds like a great idea. I think i will try it out with Russian if i get the free time as well. Right now i have to study up on the expressions for tomorrows quiz!
