Yesterday we learned more about voiced consonants. I thought this would be easy, but it turned out to be a little harder than i thought. Japanese voiced consonants are more subtle than english ones. Glides were a little challenging too. I could not figure out where the form of ji comes from. i assumed it was a combination of shi or zi. Hopefully today or tomorrow i will try shadowing to see what that is like.

  1. It took me a long time to learn じ as well! It got especially confusing when we added glides like じゅ.

  2. You too!? I also had a hard time learning じ. When we added glides, I didn't really know how it worked until I carefully looked at the chart.
